The Oasis Books & Bric-a-Brac shop in Lansdowne Road, Claremont specialises in excellent quality used books and goods – all sold at a fraction of the original price. The shop, which forms part of the re-use arm of recycling, has been operating so successfully since it was launched at the end of 2004 that Oasis Association decided to expand and enlarge the premises at the beginning of 2008.
The extensions were completed in March 2008 and today you can browse in the collectibles section (for books, artwork, designer wear and décor items) or make your way to the division selling “new” bric-a-brac and book releases.
Once bargain-hunting palls, you can grab a cup of tea or coffee and a bite to eat in the shop’s coffee corner or lavender garden thanks to the onsite bakery.
